DARTFORD HOCKEY CLUB TOURNAMENT
Charity Tournament in aid of Breast Cancer in honour of Noreen Walsh

Beautiful sunshine and the chance to experience some traditional grass hockey was a great way to spend a sunday.
Just short of enough players to make up two teams, we mixed and matched creating Gravesend 1's aka Looney Limes
and Gravesend 2's aka Piggy Pinks. Both teams progressed successfully through the tournament managing to win and
draw the same amount of matches and spookily accumulating the same amount of goals scored. This led to a very
exciting Looney Limes versus Piggy Pinks to decide who would take home the winning honours.

A great tactical play by the captain of the Piggy Pinks to put 11 year old Kirsten in goal against the Looney Limes paid off.
Players who are normally clinical goal scorers were unable to convert their many attacks on goal and in turn were then
punished heavily in their own goal by the Piggy Pinks resulting in a 4-0 defeat and the Piggy Pinks emerging as victorious.

The tournament was a huge success, with a great mix of young and old players coming together to just relax and enjoy
their hockey and we would like to thank Dartford for a fantastic day and hope that alot of money was raised for Breast Cancer
